Honda S2000

Honda S2000 has a front-engine, rear-drive chassis layout. This is not for nostalgia, but for maximum performance and driver space and comfort. The S2000 is not a bare-bones racer-replica but a fully-functional road car with all of the comforts and amenities expected in a modern car.

An innovative "high X-bone" modified backbone frame gived the S2000 greater rigidity than most closed cars, and improves the precision of its fully-independent double-wishbone suspension. Its lightweight alumunium alloy engine is placed behind the front axle centerline, helping to give near-50/50 weight distribution and concentrating the car's mass near its center of gravity for agile handling abilities normally associated with mid-engined designs.
